The Fortress of Bellinzona, one of Ticino’s main attractions, consists of three castles, an imposing bulwark and the town walls. The complex has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, representing the largest and the only example of a medieval fortified architecture still visible in the entire Alpine region.
