Welcome to the first exhibition of the anniversary year 2024. The city of Hamar turns 175 years old, and we are going to create six performances and exhibitions. This exhibition is about our city of administration.The city of Hamar was established on March 21, 1849, but already in 1152, Hamar was designated as a diocese. The Catholic Church established an administration that over 50 years built a cathedral the likes of which had scarcely been seen in Norway.Today, the city is a modern society where several national and regional businesses and organizations have their administration.In this exhibition, we will look at the historical, the professional, the legal, and peek into the future.In addition, we have produced a series of podcasts where you can delve into the thoughts and experiences of skilled people from Hamar. Those who work to develop the city, secure the city, maintain order, stimulate volunteer work, and create the Hamar of the future.The exhibition is created in collaboration with Trompetkameratene, Ane Thune Hjertaas, and curated by Lage Thune Myrberget.
