In The Footsteps Of Fred Fisher
As a reflection of Campbelltown City's recognition of the deep ongoing history and culture of this land, we pay respects to the Dharawal People, the Traditional Custodians of the land, we are meeting and travelling on today.
Dharawal land has always been recognised as a meeting place for people from other lands. We value the traditions, culture, aspirations and the principle contributions that our traditional owners have made.
We acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging for their spiritual connection and continuing traditions as part of our Campbelltown communities.
In The Footsteps of Fred Fisher, is a self guided tour of Campbelltown's most infamous resident. The legend of Fisher's Ghost is one of Australia's most well-known ghost stories. Since John Farley first told the story of his encounter with the spectre, tales of the ghost have inspired writers, artists, poets, songwriters and film producers, and captivated the imagination of generations. A hard copy of this self-guided walk can be found at the Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre, located within historic Quondong Cottage 15 Old Menangle Road Campbelltown. The hard copy includes additional information and photo descriptions and makes a wonderful souvenir of your visit to Campbelltown, home of Australia's most famous ghost.
