Welcome to the University of South Australia. My name is Stephen Boyle and I am delighted to welcome you to Adelaide and the 41st International Conference of Social Theory, Politics and the Arts. We are the first Australian university to host this prestigious conference and it is with great pleasure that I welcome you as Conference Chair. The conference will be held across a number of venues and in conjunction with our conference partners, the UniSA Business School, the Asia Pacific Centre for Arts and Cultural Leadership and the Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre. This walking tour has been developed specifically for this conference and introduces a number of prominent arts and cultural institutions located throughout the Adelaide CBD. Each site will include a brief text or audio introduction. We encourage you to experience the unique collections, displays and art forms held within their walls.
