The Massey Shaw Fireboat - Cya On The Road

Named after Sir Eyre Massey Shaw, first chief fire office of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade, she served during WWII in 'Operation Dynamo' and during 'The Blitz' being credited with saving hundreds of lives and bringing troops back from the beaches of Dunkirk.

The Massey Shaw Educational Trust is now her proud owner and our volunteers work tirelessly to maintain her and share the stories and importance of this vessel on the River Thames.
