Bayeux is one of the most historic cities in northern France. It was first big town liberated by the Allies after the D-Day invasion in World War II. But Bayeux had a glorious history stretching back centuries before it was very briefly General De Gaulle’s capital of liberated France for a couple of months in 1944.This tour has no audio navigational hints and we recommend to consult the map to move between the points.
