The Portuguese Pioneer Museum was inaugurated in 2003 to honour Portuguese immigrants who arrived in Canada predominantly in 1953, 1954 and 1955. It is currently located at 960 St. Clair Ave West, West of Oakwood Ave. in the city of Toronto, not far from where many of the immigrants arrived. These pioneers, who scattered all across the country, created a path for many future immigrants. In the museum you will find stories and memorabilia that provide a snapshot of the lives of those who were truly pioneers of their time.
