This walking tour focuses on one area within the Central Business District of Ipswich. It takes you on an excursion along the ‘High Street’, an early 20th Century commercial shopping and services precinct, through the heritage architecture and streetscape of the Top of Town Heritage Precinct on Brisbane Street Ipswich, Queensland. This area has an abundance of local stories and multiple histories that are vital to the Ipswich community, from the businesses that trade, and have traded here to the people that frequented these businesses and socialised in this area.
