Karlovo,Bulgaria

Karlovo is among our favorite cities, still carrying the spirit of the Renaissance. A century and a half ago, some of the greatest Bulgarians walked the cobbled streets - revolutionaries, writers, teachers, fighters for freedom and independence. The sights in Karlovo are many and it took us three visits to the city within 2 years to be able to visit them and take pictures for the article - with each of our visits there were new landmarks that we had not visited. Karlovo landmarks are concentrated mainly in the architectural reserve "Old Karlovo", where among the aroma of roses you will enjoy the remarkable Revival architecture.
