Gouvy
Gouvy Théodore is a famous composer of classical music of the nineteenth century. He was born in Germany in Saarbrücken in 1819 and then he lived in France in the department of the Moselle. He left us in 1898. Of Franco-German nationality, the border town of Freyming-Merlebach pays tribute to him by giving his name to one of its theatres. The Gouvy room was built in 2014 and inaugurated in 2017. It was designed by the architectural firm Dominique Coulon of Strasbourg. She doesn’t look like anyone else.• The building is very simple. It is entirely white. Its shape is rectilinear. We can just see a huge window that makes it possible to guess the interior lighting of the place. Since white is synonymous with calm, it allows it to blend into the landscape.Conversely, the decoration of the rooms is very colorful. Everything is red and orange. Evoking the passion and joy one can feel by going to see shows, whether it is a concert or a comedy.• To reserve my seats at the Gouvy, I can go there on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 4.30 pm but also on Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 12 pm. The Gouvy room is 1 place des Alliés.
