The Wolf Path: the path that winds through the old wood, already known to the Romans as “silva popularis”, along the valleys of centennial chestnut trees that stand as sentinels to the most isolated villages. The Path is dedicated to the wolf, the legendary predator that lived in the past in those valleys and hunted close to the isolated hamlet that take its name, Caialupo. The memory of the historical presence of wolves in these woods is still alive in tales, stories by the elders and anecdotes that interweave with the route to tell you about this animal, a symbol of humankind's most irrational fears throughout the centuries.
