Sentiero del Torion - Cya On The Road

Sentiero del Torion

📍 Vezza d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy; Canale, Piedmont, Italy; Castellinaldo d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Estimated distance & time: 6.7km / 2 hrs 14 mins

The Torion Path in Vezza d'Alba winds along the cultivated plain of the Rio Borbore and leads to the impervious slopes of a coppice wood: between chestnut and downy oaks you can admire the castles and rural chapels of Roero that overlook the Tanaro river. The vineyards clinging to the ridges give way to the Torion, the curious hexagonal building bombed during the Second World War which towers from the top of the "Castellero" hill and which gives the path its name.
