Retracing the route of the old Roman cobblestone road, this path runs from Cortona to Sant’Egidio, winding its way through oak and black pine-woods. Besides remarkable natural beauties, the path is also dotted with well-marked historical and archaeological sights, including sections of the old roman aqueduct, the Fortezza del Girifalco, the Santuario di Santa Margherita and the church of San Carlo at Torreone.
