The path runs across the hills between Teverina and Poggioni, meandering its way through an area that is well known to yield delicious chestnuts which are extensively offered for sale and used in local cooking. At one point, the trail is also crossed by the old roman road of Monte Castellare which adds further historical interest to the hike as do the castle of Poggioni and the frescoes in the church of San Cristoforo at Vaglie.
