The itinerary takes us through the wide and sinuous twists and turns of the Po di Maistra, one of the various branches of the Po river, among thick vegetation, water birds and splendid waterways. Immersed in peaceful silence, you will have the opportunity to paddle some of the most important fishing valleys of the Delta, before arriving at the Po di Maistra river-mouth, where you will visit the well-known beach of Boccasette. The itinerary is located approx. 100 km from Venice.Difficulty: Intermediate/difficultLength: 24 kilometresTime: about 5 hoursWhere to leave: This itinerary in kayak is not circular. Therefore, you should organize to have two cars: one at the departure point, the other at arrival. Departure will be behind the municipality of Porto Tolle, where a jetty allows easy access to the river. Parking is allowed in the square opposite the municipal building. The arrival jetty is in front of a sluice between the beach and the town of Boccasette. You are advised to stop at the marina of Boccasette for a refreshment and divide the itinerary into two parts, or go and visit the beach of Boccasette. For those who do not have their own kayak and equipment, group excursions can be arranged, with a guide if desired. Transport to departure point and pick-up at arrival is guaranteed.
