Caltabellotta is a nest of homes on the top of a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean sea, situated between Sciacca and Eraclea Minoa, with spectacular and suggestive views which range from Mount Erice to Mount Etna.Caltabellotta, known with the name of Camico, was a secure and unbeatable fortress, led by the mythical sicilian king Cocalo. At the end of this period it was named Triocola which means three beautiful things: fertile land, abundance of water and inaccessible natural geographic position surrounded by mountains and hills.
