Murjāņi Old Luge and Bobsleigh Track

In this place 40 years ago was born Latvian, thus also a Soviet bobsleigh sport.In 1978 this track was hand-built in 77 days as a training ground for the local sports school. It was in active use for almost ten years, when the modern bobsleigh and luge track in Sigulda was built. Since this time the path has not been used anymore.Some parts of the track are still in relatively fine condition, but a large amount of it is destroyed. The top part is in terrible shape.You can still see Soviet time sports inventory, parts of luge and bobsleigh on the base level.
