The Story of Sighișoara

Welcome to Sighișoara! Situated in Mureș County and sometimes called The Pearl of Transylvania, the city of Sighișoara is home to around 26 thousand people and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its cultural and historical significance as well as the fact that many of its historical landmarks are well preserved and represent ideal places to visit for those interested in Medieval architecture, history and culture. The citadel at the heart of the town is the main tourist attraction and contains the majority of significant landmarks.
