Hello, dear guests of our city! We meet you at the entrance to the city park! The place is unique! Why? Because on this small island surrounded by water you can learn about the history of Kyshtym!Peter the Great had two great projects. The first was the well-known "Window to Europe"; the second was the creation of industry in the deep rear. Kyshtym is a part of the grand project to create its own metallurgical industry.The history of Kyshtym began in 1755, when Nikita Demidov began building the Upper Iron-Foundry and then the Lower Iron-Foundry Kyshtym Works. And in 1757 both plants produced their first products. This year is considered the date of foundation of Kyshtym as a mining settlement.
