Can Picafort, surrounded by nature 4: Can Picafort seafront promenade - Cya On The Road

The promenade of Can Picafort is the busiest pedestrian section of our municipality during the summer months. This is the main route along the coast of Can Picafort, linking the Playa Grande de Can Picafort with the Playa de Son Bauló. During this route you will be able to observe different elements: cultural, natural, scenic and historical. From a natural point of view, the section along this route stands out for its contrast between the sandy area of the two beaches and the rocky area from Plaza Cervantes to Playa de Son Bauló.The main attractions of this route will be the large sandy areas of our beaches, the “posidonia oceanica” meadows and the presence of tamarinds. On the other hand, it is also worth mentioning the presence of numerous watchtowers along the route, as well as other military elements, such as machine gun nests. Finally, you can also observe different ethnological elements characteristic of Can Picafort, such as the dry docks; and its recently created cultural and artistic elements: the large-format murals of the Saladina Art Fest and the sculptures of Joan Bennàssar.
