Development and Displacement in Baltimore, MD

Like many cities in the U.S., Baltimore is rapidly changing. The city is investing lots of money in new development, hoping to boost the economy and attract new residents. Unfortunately, new development comes at a cost to the city's poorest residents. This tour is designed to highlight gentrified and pre-gentrified neighborhoods, including future development projects. At each stop you will learn a little about how Baltimore's history shaped the economic and social issues prevalent today. Also included on the tour are community organizations that are addressing displacement caused by development.
