Shippensburg Station

Shippensburg Station is much more than a restored boxcar. It was designed to become a community and event space that connects Shippensburg University with the greater Shippensburg community. Last April the first ever Trail Fest combined the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail's Race, Run, Ride and Ramble event with a beer festival. The event feature local breweries, wineries, food trucks and musicians. In the summer, Christmas in July featured an outdoor showing of "The Polar Express". Kids were treated to  photo opportunities with the movie characters and free popcorn and snow cones.  And this fall, the space hosted Food Truck Fridays, offer fun new Friday afternoon lunch options for Shippensburg University and the entire community. More events and plans to expand the space are in the works!
