This Temple X walking tour, tells the story of two girls living in the Ashburton community of Baltimore during the late 1950s and early 1960s. The Story of 2 Girls (S2G) will tell the story of a Black Christian girl moving into the neighborhood and a White Jewish girl who lived in the neighborhood her whole life. We will explore the girl’s feelings and experiences while providing historical context. This voyage will illuminate the cultural connections in one of the first integrated communities in the USA.
