Black History in Druid Heights

In the heart of the Old West Baltimore Historic District lies the Druid Heights neighborhood. This community has been the home of many black icons, ranging from jazz entertainer Cab Calloway to Warner McGuinn, mentor to Thurgood Marshall.   Historic sites such as the first black-owned business school in the city to the famous Sphinx Club are also part of the rich history of this community. This tour will provide insights on Baltimore's Black Heritage as well as the vibrant future that Druid Heights Community Development Corporation is creating with its residents for an even better tomorrow.
