In my Multimedia Audio Production Class, I was tasked with developing a 10-stop media tour with scripted audio recordings, supplemental text for each recording, and multimedia elements. Assigned in February, I decided to hone in on Black History Month in the city known for its large black population, Washington D.C. US News and World Report published rankings of cities to celebrate BHM in and D.C., despite heavy gentrification, remains one of them. This tour takes you through several emblems of black culture and history in the city with interviews from everyone from college students to entrepreneurs who call the district home.
