Let me guess why you’re probably here – you’ve heard all of the stories about how Barcelona is the new “World Capital of Architecture”, about “its inspired city leadership, pursuing an ambitious yet pragmatic urban strategy “(to qute UNESCO themselves). But now that you’re all the way over there you have no clue what all of the fuss is about. I mean sure, it does look pretty but award-winningly intelligent and practical – it’s not as obvious, is it?  And you’d be right – the real genius of Barcelona’s city planning is hidden in the details – which is where this tour comes in. We’re SaHarah City Tours and the goal of this guide is exactly that is– showing you the (mostly) small things that make Barcelona’s design one of the most famous in the world, but without making you feel like you’re back in a classroom. This guide is obviously not meant to give you a comprehensive list of all of the “cool urban design” spots in the city, but rather to just give you some hints as to what kind of nifty details you can look out for, when exploring the city on your own later on. We’ll mostly focus on some places that reflect some of the main urban design trends or themes that the city’s planners have been focusing on, just to maybe help you appreciate more what you see here during the rest of your trip or maybe to inspire you to implement some of those ideas in your own home city.
