This self-guided walk follows Sisimiut’s “Ocean Road”, widely considered one of the town’s most scenic stretches. Along the way, it highlights the area’s geology, drawing attention to distinctive rock formations and landscape features. At each stop, you will learn how these features formed and why they matter, building a clearer picture of the region’s geological story as you move forward. The route includes 13 stops, some located close together. At the end, you can continue up the steep hill for extended views, or retrace your steps and see what new details you notice with a deeper understanding of the landscape. If you would like to broaden your experience, you can also download the Nature Walk guide to learn about the wildflowers found along the way. Once you've finished, if you’d like to buy mineral samples or books about Greenland’s geology (mostly in Danish), visit Mersortarfik Panigiit in Sisimiut, a well-known local souvenir shop that specialises in collector minerals and related literature and is run by the geologist who consulted on this audio walk.
