Bernini vs Borromini

In the heyday of Italian Baroque in Rome, there were two extraordinary men, who worked alongside each other, but were at odds with each other. They were Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini. Both were outstanding architects, but were as different from one another as chalk and cheese. . . With bated breath, all of Rome watched their rivalry. The complex relationship between these two artists resulted in the fantastic Baroque architecture of Rome, examples of which we will see today. We will learn how the conflict between them started, and how it ended.However, this isn’t an ordinary tour.
